The
Cafecito Surf Story
Cafecito was born out of community and connection, and dreams of creating something special.
Lenin, a Santa Teresa–raised surfer, and Chelsea, a Canadian entrepreneur, met in 2021 and instantly clicked — two bold personalities with complementary strengths. Together, they bring Cafecito to life: a place where surf, adventure, and good vibes come together under one roof.
With a shared love for hosting and a global network of friends who return year after year, they’ve created more than just a guesthouse — they’ve built a home base for unforgettable, surf-filled getaways. Cafecito is their way of sharing the magic of Santa Teresa.
The Surfhouse History
The Cafecito house isn’t just any guesthouse — it’s the home Lenin grew up in. Built by his parents after moving from Nicaragua, it became the foundation for a better life for him and his siblings. For over 25 years, these walls have held the energy of family, friendship, and good vibes. What started as a humble home is now Cafecito Surf — a space rooted in perseverance, connection, and the joy of sharing Santa Teresa with others.
