Cancellation Policy

Cafecito Surf – Lesson Booking Policy 1. Class Schedule & Time Adjustments Our weekly surf schedule is forecasted based on tides, swell, and weather, and updated regularly. Exact class times remain subject to small shifts for optimal conditions. You will be notified by email of any shifts in class schedule. Exact class time will be set no later than 14 hours before the class time, leaving 2 hours between confirmation time and cancellation cut off of 12 hours. Example: If a class is forecasted for 6:00 AM Tuesday, it may remain at 6:00, or shift (e.g. to 6:30 AM or 7:00 AM) up until 2 hours before the cancellation cut-off, which is 12 hours before class. In this example: exact time may adjust until 4:00 PM Monday. If the time shift affects your ability to attend, you may still cancel without penalty by 6:00 PM Monday. 2. Cancellation Policy Cancellations are allowed up to 12 hours before the confirmed class start time. Cancellations made within 12 hours are non-refundable, as instructors and equipment are pre-assigned. 3. Waiver Requirement All students must complete and sign Cafecito’s Liability & Media Waiver before attending their first class. 4. Class Ratios Standard class ratio is 2 students per instructor. At the discretion of our head coach, and based on skill level, wave conditions, or group composition, we may teach at a 3:1 ratio. 5. Video Analysis Add-On Video coaching is scheduled by Cafecito based on wave quality and filming conditions, not student choice. Recording may occur in any of your eligible classes and you will be notified when video review will take place. 6. Class Packages Packages are non-refundable once started. If a student cannot complete all classes, in special circumstances, credit may be issued for future use OR remaining classes may be transferred to another person with prior approval from Cafecito Surf.
